Gabriel Comin - CNC Milling
For the CNC milling project I kept it simple and focus on just learning the process. I modeled a quick geometric piece and then imported it into rhino to convert it from polygons to nurbs.
The piece was milled out of foam and then I coated it with aqua resign to create a durable and weatherproof surface.
After coating the piece in aqua-resin, I proceeded to sand it, and then experimented with paint. While experimenting with a different paint style was fun I ended up not being extremely satisfied with the results. I plan on waiting a bit to see if it grows on me and if not then I plan on painting it all one solid color and then dry brushing some iridescent paint in key areas.
