Claire Abitz: Project 2 FDM

For the second project, I wanted to pursue the puzzle idea that was too complicated for the first project. I started with my most basic interest in cubes and split it into four pieces. I added more complex interlocking components as the design progressed. I also wanted it to be open on one face, the inside complex, the outside simple. To hold all the pieces together, I arranged a pattern of holes to put string through, which will also add to the changing surface inside. Eventually, I think it would be awesome to cast the pieces in bronze and polish the outside and string them together.
